What’s more interesting is that this survey was only for the college girls on campus. You heard right. College girls are taking up poker and making it their own.

Not very long ago, poker was thought of as a male pastime. Try telling that to this new generation of female players. These college girls are serious, play extremely well, and quite a few guys have lost their shirts, and their money, to these bluffing babes.

This recent phenomena may be a direct reflection of the rising female stars in the World Series of Poker, a popular poker event ESPN has brought to millions of viewers. Female superstars like Annie Duke for instance. Annie has taken home several gold bracelets from her brilliant play in these tournaments. Her and many others have inspired a generation of college girls to take up in their footsteps.

Once frowned upon, college’s have accepted gambling on campus more and more. Not that it matters much to these college girls. Keep your eye out for some of these women hitting the pro circuit after graduation.
